Hi, I am Dr. Suvi Frayn. I am originally from Vancouver, where I began this journey. I received my Bachelor of Science degree, in Animal Physiology at Simon Fraser University. From there, I decided to explore the world a little and moved to Australia where I received my veterinary degree from the University of Melbourne in 2005. What was supposed to be a short detour to Edmonton, before going back to Vancouver, turned into a 10 year stay. I met my husband John there and we had two beautiful children. I worked in both a small animal private practice, and for the last 5 years in emergency medicine. Our love has always been with the Okanagan and we are very excited to have this opportunity to move to Vernon. My veterinary interests include emergency medicine, ultrasound and soft tissue surgery. The wonderful staff at Vernon Veterinary Clinic have made this an easy transition. There is never a dull moment and I love the challenge of the unexpected. My home life is just as busy. Our wonderful children, Evan and Anika keep us on our toes. Deciding to get a Great Dane puppy just prior to our second baby being born has been interesting to say the least! There is never a quiet moment with our 2 dogs, Dexter and Gadget, and 2 cats Tom Tom and Pharaoh. If there is any spare time, I love to garden and cook. Farm to table has become a passion. We also love to go camping, fishing and of course travelling.
